History of the
Feedsack
Early settlers were introduced to the colorful fabrics of
the Feedsacks and Flour sacks. Feed and Flour companies of the
Old West induced women to buy there product with the colorful
bright colors of their feedsacks. From whimsical balloons to
fruits and vegetables, to pretty flowers and wonderful scenery.
The women now could make beautiful dresses bed linens and quilts
which had been drab and lacked color.
